Since it has been getting colder here in Colorado it has been getting harder to start. Now, not at all, engine is plugged in at night, and feeling the block, it is warm. HPOP builds pressure to psi in under 2 seconds, it's not making oil, fuel rail pressure comes up to psi in same time frame. Fuel pump pressure will drop off to 40 psi after 30 seconds of starter disengagement, then over the next hour will creep back up to 60 psi?
I put in a new cam sensor with no positive results. Any suggestion on what I should try? We are a small district with only 20 vehicles total and they don't have any electronic diagnosis equipment, Thanks for your time and any help you might have. Then post back your findings. Of course, this could be for a variety of reasons. Doesn't this engine also have a crankshaft sensor or am I wrong about this? I know the 's only had a cam sensor, but I think this engine might have both.
Can somebody answer that? Would this model have a separate injector drive module? I don't know as much about the models. It would probably be a good idea to check for codes using the above method. If there are any, they might help point to the specific problem. Cleared inactive codes after writing them down.
Am left with one code It basically says ecm asked idm for information, and did not receive any. Now I am in search of idm relay, or power source, and or idm to check for wiring problem. Held in by one bolt which holds a retaining clip. I have been checking the IDM relay and wires. After I finished checking them I cleared the codes and rechecked the system for active codes, they are gone engine started right up. I will let it set tonight and see what happens.

At least I was not totally wrong I wonder why the s always had trouble with that sensor, but the DTs didn't seem to have that same issue? The original one lasted about ten years, since then, the replacements haven't held up near as good. I think I was lucky with the first one. Reputation: I've got a 06 IH with a DT that won;t start. Replaced the IDM fuse is good now. When hooked up to servicemax it has a code. Servicemax shows no voltage on any of the sensors just dotted lines. I can read all the vehical info. Any help on what to look at next would be great. It can be caused when voltage is low to the IDM. Reputation: 3. I had this problem once and one of the relays was burnt out. I found the problem to be a wire rubbing on a bracket.
Check the wiring loom to see if it's not rubbing somewhere. I had on just recently that had a loose lock on the ecm causing the voltage to be low causing it to not communicate. Found it checking for voltage drops. Cleaned the pins tightened it up and ran fine. Also had a with and injector harness rub through on the power side blew the fuse when it hit a bump. On another the idm relay pins were burnt and were causing a high draw the fuse looked melted more than blown from the high draw.
I hope some of this helps good luck. Well I have got nowhere on this no-start. After replacing the IDM I checked all power and grounds, I even put a 12 volt work light on them to check under a load still nothing. The IDM is a reman from international, I would hope its good. This truck has been several places to be fixed and i've found bolts missing on brackets, just don't know if one got left off.

Have you looked up the codes yet? The high voltage sticker is for the IDM, it puts out vac, and it will knock you on your if you mess around lol. I looked up the codes for ya; ECM, no errors detected, flash code only. I would really take some time to sit at a computer and do all the research you can.

I am going by memory here. I need to know which fuse is blowing, I believe there is one in the battery box and one in the fuse panel. The one in the fuse panel just goes to a relay at the firewall. The one at the batteries powers that same relay at the 30 terminal. If the battery relay is blowing you could just have a rubbed through wire shorting out.
The ECM is behind that plastic cover at the left side of the firewall. If you disconnect the ECM connector, big gray rectangular shape and the fuse keeps blowing, then you just have a shorted wire somewhere. HeavydJul 12, Jul 12, 5.Helpinout Active Member. USA Posts.Unity sample projects github
Cranks over fine but only fires with ether but will not run. Checked for fuel supply seems fine but still have to hook up gauge to reaffirm.
With past experience with similar systems I checked the high pressure oil and it reads about cranking. Trouble seems electrical and am not sure how to pull trouble codes.
